That's it!  "lp -s" does indeed  disable printing of  "request id ..."
after  print job  in my  case.  Apart from  command line  it works  in
mozilla and  acroread. However  it doesn't in  mutt, but  that's maybe
because  I don't  use mutt-print.  Here is  my print  command  from my
.muttrc:

set print_command="a2ps --encoding=iso-8859-2 --font-size=6| lpr -s"

I also tried:

set print_command="a2ps --encoding=iso-8859-2 --font-size=6|'lpr -s'"
