I'm very sorry about my answer from windows
world, but maybe that make push for idea.
I'm very frequently downloading music in popular
APE lossless format (APE+Cue) that preserving not only Music but all info about
CD for CDDB.
This is easy if you just burn to CD (with
Nero + APE plugin).
But if you want make Mp3's that may be horror
renaming all the files (if Cue file not consist the names).
And I'm not want burn Audio CD just for ripping to
Mp3's.
That work for me:
1. With Nero Burning Rom 6.0.0.8 I maked NRG image
(you configure Nero for image output).
2. With Alcohol 120% I'm mounted that
image.
3. With ImTOO ripper I make rip to WAV or
Mp3.
P.S.
Not all rippers can recognize Virtual Drives.
Cdex not seeing this, but ImTOO ripper (with interface very closed to Cdex)
make that !
And: you must using Cue-sheet for CDDB, not just
WAV only !
