FATAL: Module i810fb not found.
Hello!
Woody dist-upgraded to Sarge
compiled kernel-2.6.8
CONFIG_FB=y
CONFIG_FB_VGA16=m
CONFIG_FB_VESA=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_SELECT=y
CONFIG_FB_I810=y
CONFIG_VGA_CONSOLE=y
CONFIG_DUMMY_CONSOLE=y
CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE=y
CONFIG_FONTS=y
CONFIG_FONT_8x8=y
CONFIG_FONT_8x16=y
CONFIG_AGP=y
CONFIG_AGP_INTEL=y
CONFIG_AGP_INTEL_MCH=y
CONFIG_DRM=y
CONFIG_DRM_I830=m
I don't use now the DRM_I830 module: lsmod don't show it.
I havn't yet use the X Window system.
I want to use the intel framebuffer on the console; I put the
video=intelfb:800x600@72 boot parameter in the grub's menu.lst; in the Woody
that worked fine, but now I get the boot ERROR message:
i810fb
FATAL: Module i810fb not found.
I don't understand this, because the support for i810fb was compiled in
the kernel and not in the module.
What could this be and how can I resolve this?
Any suggestion will be appreciated! Thanks!
