Put 

deb http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/kde-3.4.0/ ./

into /etc/apt/sources.list.  Then run

apt-get update
apt-get install kdm

If this doesn't give you kdm 3.4, then you need to add a "Pin" for 
alioth to your /etc/apt/preferences.  For example, in mine I have

Package: *
Pin: origin pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org
Pin-Priority: 991
