random file selection for iPod shuffle

hi

i recently bought an ipod shuffle which is VERY neat. everything works 
fine - i even found a python script that makes gtkpod/gnupod obsolete 
(http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~mfie/index.php?software=ipod) for file 
transfer, you just put your stuff on the ipod, run the script and it 
works like a charm.

after i found the script on the internet i wondered if anyone already 
wrote a script which (like iTunes does) picks random tracks from your 
music folder (say /home/foo/music) and puts it on /media/ipod.

i would do it myself but unfortunately i have *zero* knowledge of 
programming languages.
