Local mail
What is the minimum configuration necessary to deliver local mail? That is,
given a machine with multiple users and no external connection, what do I
need to enable users to send messages to one another? Everything I can find
on the web talks about setting up sendmail, qmail, exim, etc. Surely I don't
need to install a full featured MTA just to get local mail. All I want is to
be able to use mail -t or pine and have the messages dropped
into /var/spool/mail/username (or ~/.maildir or whatever.)
