I know that some folks have posted about udev and the anomally of have /.dev show up. I have a slightly different issue. I recently got my machine running LVM on Software-RAID. Not I end up with this: /dev on /dev/.static/dev type unknown (rw,bind) none on /dev type tmpfs (rw,size=10M,mode=0755) As would be expected by the name, the /dev/.static/dev directory contains the traditional static device nodes. But I am not sure why I would need them if I am using udev. I am running udev, though I previously transitioned from devfs on this machine. I am running Sarge. Google has not turned up anything useful. I wonder if anyone has encountered this previously or knows anything about it. -Roberto -- Roberto C. Sanchez http://familiasanchez.net/~sanchezr
