Logrotate / Apache question

Hi, I guess this is more of a Logrotate question then Apache, but for relates to Apache. I use the dreaded W2K server for some hosting I do, I'm in the process of archiving off all log-files from all servers from 2004. W2K names each monthly file as follows

ex0411.log - Nov
ex0412.log - Dev

logrotate rename access.log -> access.log.1 -> access.log.1.gz so I've ended up with loads of access.log.*.gz I quite like the Idea that all my W2K logs are set with the year / month information in the file. I would like to some how modify the way logcheck / apache deals with log-files so that my W2K and Linux log-files look similar. Does anyone know how to do this? I know i cant do anything about the current logfiles, but rename them manually myself.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

Gabe
