Hi Rick

I went from woody to sid over a year ago and use my machine daily for
work and play. Apart from some minor glitches with individual packages
caused by user ignorance (me), it has held up at least as well as MacOS
and OSX which I ran previously. We also have windows clients here that
suffer much more downtime than my sid laptop.

I agree with Lee that apt-listbugs is essential to avoid installing
broken packages. Other than that, running a dynamic system which evolves,
provides an excellent way of learning linux and Debian.

That said, I believe that sarge requires similar care through upgrades
with the additional disadvantage of fixes generally taking longer to
appear.

Regards

Clive
