Right.

And it's a BUG that the script doesn't pop up a curses dialog box
that says "WARNING: Because you have manually edited your
configuration file, dpkg is unable to update it!  You must do these
steps to use the XF86Config file generated by this script ..."

Really, that should take about one line of code.  What's your
OBJECTION to doing that?

It would have avoided all of that, for instance.

So?  Since it's documented in a file the user isn't looking at, it
can't be explained by the program right when the user needs to know
it?  You think it's GOOD to force people to do research every time
they run apt-get update?
