I couldn't understand you question exactly, but I guess you mean:

"How can I set up accounts on a linux machine A which authenticate their users against an ldap directoy server running on a machine B."

I haven't done this by myself but I guess it works like that:

1) Setting up OpenLDAP server with debian package 'slapd' on machine B.
2) Make LDAP entries of type 'posixAccount'
2) Download and install 'libpam-ldap' on machine A and configure it properly

Maybe start with reading 'man 7 pam' after installing 'libpam-runtime' somewhere.
