I don't get this one. My bios is 2001. Possibly newer, as I recently updated.

There are other errors at boot time, I can't seem to find them showing up in the error logs. Are there other log files apart from syslog and kern.log that show the errors?

system info:
kernel: Linux version 2.6.8-2-k7 (dilinger@toaster.hq.voxel.net) (gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-6)) #1 Mon Jan 24 03:29:52 EST 2005
i'm using the latest (literally) unstable net install.

How do I fix all the problems? Thank you in advance for any time and help.

I am sorry if this message is in HTML, I do not know how to turn it off.

Jake D.

There was a bug in the 2.6.8(?) kernel that mishandled IDE causing such errors.(I forget exactly which kernel it was, although I'm sure it was 2.6.8) I would suggest that you move to the 2.6.9 or 2.6.10 kernel.
