"lspci" should inform you as to the chipset of your NIC; the chipset is more important than the model number (as chipsets sometimes are changed without changing the model number - D-Link is notorious for this nasty habit).

You might try booting off a LiveCD, such as Knoppix, to see if it recognizes your card. If so, "lsmod" will give you an idea if the sk98lin module is the correct module.

It may be that your NIC is not supported by the kernel on the installer CD; in that case, you might want to try doing your base install off of CD, then setting up dial-up (slow), and downloading a newer kernel, or switching to Knoppix long enough to manually download a newer kernel and supporting files (tedious and error-prone). Or throw a better-supported NIC in your box long enough to get the system working with your Yukon.
