Support for kernel 2.6.x is only in the 1.7.x (development) series of
openafs.  If you still want to try it, you can find Debian packages in
the experimental branch:
  http://packages.debian.org/experimental/net/openafs-client
  http://packages.debian.org/experimental/net/openafs-modules-source
