I just installed Ubuntu Warty on a system with an older Nvidia card (FX
5200). Ubuntu runs x.org and it worked fine out of the box with x.org's
nv driver. I did not do any testing of GL or gaming though.

I also installed the latest version (6629) of the official nvidia driver
on that system and it worked fine as well. Presumably, this means that
the GL and gaming support would work fine, at least with the non-free
driver.
