Hello everyone! Is there a way to enable acoustic management on a SATA harddisk in debian? Yesterday I moved my desktop to a new system - including a Seagate SATA disk. The DOS tool that Seagate offers to set up AM does not recognize the SATA controller nor any disks. I also tried hdparm with which I could set up AM in my old system, but it simply tells me /dev/sda: HDIO_GET_ACOUSTIC failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device Is there any way? Regards, Terje
