When all the release-stoping bugs are squashed, Sarge will magically become Stable (i.e. unchanging). So, if you want to use the PDC20269, go to your /etc/apt/sources.list and change all references to "woody" or "stable" to "sarge". Then update and upgrade your system. Then, install the kernel-image-2.4.27-2-386 package. http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages http://packages.debian.org/testing/base/kernel-image-2.4.27-2-386 > On Fri, 04 Feb 2005 10:26:08 -0600, Ron Johnson <ron.l.johnson@cox.net> wrote: > > On Fri, 2005-02-04 at 15:40 +0000, jim biri wrote: > > > Well it sort of answers it, if you're referring to: > > > http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/archive/26/2003/07/3/69151 > > > > > > It means not using a stable version, but using an unstable version - > > > which I'm not too keen on. > > > > > > There must be another solution one way or another. > > > > That web page was created 19 months ago. > > > > Don't hold me to is, but I'd be that 2.4.21 came and went thru > > Sarge a long time ago.
