So latest info on this from Promise:
"If you using RED HAT or SUSE versions 7.3, 8.0, 9.0 you should have a
RPM package embedded in the OS which will allow you to run any kernel."
Doesn't help with my quest to get this working in bf2.4 DEBIAN really .....
