Yes, that's were the mdadm part comes to play. (The controllers are
promise 100TX2, not highpoint, my mistake) Current setup is

ide2: hde
ide3: hdg
ide4: hdi
ide5: hdk

md1 (raid1) = hde,hdi
md2 (raid1) = hdg,hdk
md0 (raid0) = md1,md2
