Sarge Hangs every second boot (Installed with new DI)

Hi,

I have not long installed sarge using the new installer. Previously I'd been
using sarge (upgraded from Woody) and all was well.

Now my system hangs roughly every second boot. I think it has something to
do with hotplug. Its always the same place late on in the boot process. When
it hangs the last thing to appear on the screen is 'usb', all I can do is
power down and restart.
When it boots ok this line expands to 'usb usbcore already loaded' and then
it completes the boot normally.

I can't find anything on goggle (might be my search terms), but I did find
references to hotplug. I've checked, and usbcore is in
/etc/hotplug/blacklist

Anyone have experience of this? Any solutions?
