Hi Glenn,

Have you moved the file somewhere else, or just renamed it?  I suspect
Mozilla will try to start up all .so files in the plugin directory
regardless of the name.  Maybe even _all_ files, but I don't know for sure.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but how about

	apt-get --purge remove libflash-mozplugin swf-player

after renaming the file mentioned above back to its original name?  You
 may then need to kill any leftover swf_play processes, but now they
shouldn't come back.
