[OT] choice between USR8054 and DI-524 routers

I am faced this choice and I am not sure which one to pick: D-Links DI-524 or USR 8054 (or USR808054CAN). I have never used a H/W router before, only my Debian machine as a router.

I have been researching on the web about these two routers. USR8054 has 256 bit encryption, so that is good. Recent upgrade also provides WPA, so that is good too. It has NAT and routing table feature, so that is another point. However, quite a few people have reported that it resets randomly or doesn't sustain long functional period and can reset in the middle of huge data transfer.

The D-Link has only 128 bit encryption. It also has WPA and can also give static IP addresses over DHCP to LAN computers (USR8054 gives only dynamic). It also has URL filtering rules and one can also specify time of day during which these rules are valid -- however, URL filtering is not such an important thing to me. But again people have reported that it resets randomly.

I was wondering, anybody here has any experience to share about these two routers? Success stories or hopeless situations? I do not care much tech support so that is not a factor under consideration. What I do care about is robustness in maintaining the connection under heavy data transfer load.

Thanks,
->HS
