cdrom ownership being reset to root:disk upon reboot

I noticed today that my cdrom and cdrw's permissions are being reset to root:disk after reboot. I had changed the permissions to root:cdrom after installing Sarge last year. And since yesterday I think, their permissions have become root:disk and I am not able to eject as normal user anymore.

If I change the permission to root:cdrom and try to eject a tray, the tray openes and closes by itself. It remains open only if I open it as root and when it's permissions are root:disk.

If I change their permissions to root:cdrom and reboot, the permissions again are set to root:disk.

I am running 2.6.7 kernel in an updated Sarge machine.

Is anybody else experiencing this as well?
