Video capture through USB-streaming
I have bought a "Dazzle Digital Video Creator 120" from Pinnacle and
want to use it on Debian to capture video's from my analog video
camera and from my VHS videorecorder/player.
When I plug it into the usb-port I see the following in
/proc/bus/usb/devices:
T: Bus=03 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=01 Cnt=01 Dev#= 2 Spd=480 MxCh= 0
D: Ver= 2.00 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=64 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=2304 ProdID=0302 Rev= 0.00
S: Manufacturer=Pinnacle
S: Product=Inst Video Album +
C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=c0 MxPwr=100mA
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 4 Cls=ff(vend.) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=(none)
E: Ad=02(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 512 Ivl=0ms
E: Ad=04(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 512 Ivl=0ms
E: Ad=86(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 512 Ivl=0ms
E: Ad=88(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 512 Ivl=0ms
The "Driver=(none)" part looks like trouble to me.
Now my questions:
How can I link usb bus 3 device 2 to a device that can be read by a
program like "streamer"?
Does anyone have experience of using this device on Linux?
Does anyone know of a driver for the Dazzle?
Regards
Johann
