console (Konsole) fonts: not found

Hi,

after I changed my system locale using locale-gen to en_US.UTF-8 I see a lot 
of boxes in the standard console (everywhere, even in regular/English man 
pages; I don't use framebuffer), and when I start Konsole I see this 
messagebox:

Error - Konsole

Font '-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal---15-140-75-75-c-90-iso10646-1' not found.

Check README.linux.console for help.

Changing the Konsole font in Konsole Settings (and saving) does not help. What 
should I do to fix this?
