/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lz

hi dear members!

 

  i had face a problem when i want configure vpopmail with mysql when i enter make command i got this error

 

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lz

collect2: ld return 1 exit status

 

so plez help me what i can to do
