Is anyone here using Progeny?

If yes how does it compare to Sarge. I know the installer is easy.
How's the usability out of the box? Sarge is pretty nice and fast but it
takes a while to set it up (for me at least). Will it be free (money-wise)?
What kernel(s) will it include?

It's targetted at developers. I don't know what that means in practice, but twt.

I have it installed on a P III, 128 Mbytes.

It's basically Sarge. I can identify four installed packages that aremodified by Progeny:
apt
apt-utils
debootstrap
python-apt

There may be more, I've not tried hard. I expect those are changed to play nice with Anaconda.

Anaconda didn't configure my PS/2 mouse; it did configure a USB mouse sopresumably if I can bring myself torip one out of one of the other boxes it will just work.

Its kernel is 2.6.6.

I don't have any idea about pricing, but twt.

I could easily adopt it.I know the capabilities of Anaconda, and they include
a. GUI intaller
b. Text-mode installer
c. Completely automatic installer.
d. Builds installation CDs.
e. It creates a configuration file so the same installation can be duplicated hands-off.

Since it's (mostly) written in Pyrhon, hacking on it is pretty simple.
