John, is mondo accessable using a graphical interface? I skimmed thru
the docs, but couldnt find anything pointing towards that...

For those interested;
I did some searching and found Arkeia. It originally was/is a commercial product, but they jumped on the bandwagon and released a stripped down gpl version of their backup solution: Arkeia-Light v5.2.15 There is a Debian version, so installation is seamless. I had some trouble initialising tapes, and I'm not sure yet if it is a software problem, or that it is related to my hardware set up. It is certainly worth a look at if you are in search of a graphical backup solution. It is stripped of all enterprise features, but if you only want to save your stuff to tape, or if you are a small time bussiness, then this could be it.
You can find details here: http://www.arkeia.com/
