I'm sure Klaus Knopper made some changes, but for sure he didn't do it
from scratch. If you care enough, have a look at the source code he offers.
yeah ... it's on the long todo list :-)
specifially, i'll be looking for showing the penguin on bootups
and also just the "horizontal progress bar" instead of the silly
boot messages and background logo on the whole background
The penguin (or other logo) comes up with framebuffer boots. Try
title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.5-1-686
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.5-1-686 root=/dev/hda3 ro vga=791
initrd /initrd.img-2.6.5-1-686
savedefault
boot
To quieten the boot:
title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.5-1-686
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.5-1-686 root=/dev/hda3 ro vga=791 quiet
initrd /initrd.img-2.6.5-1-686
savedefault
boot
The progress meter comes in from the post-boot scripts. I've not looked
at that.
Ah, but you should see Fedora Core boot:-))
i don't recommend corp to run fedora core1 nor core2 ...
That's not the point:-)
