aptitude [search|show] <package>
aptitude install <package>
aptitude [remove|purge|hold|etc] ...
aptitude update
aptitude [dist-]upgrade
aptitude [clean|download|etc] ...
Aptitude covers most of apt-get and apt-cache. Doesn't cover some of the
very useful dpkg things (eg. dpkg -i, -L, -s, -S - man dpkg IYF).
