what is the output of iwconfig
- it should list your wireless network ( wlan0 or ?? )
what is the output of ifconfig -v
- it should list your wireless network
if nothing is listed, you don't have a wl connection
and the above iwlist scan is correct since you dont have a
wireless network
( your kernel and it's driver didn't see your wireless card )
