I found 2.4.26 to freeze a couple of times - but I could ssh into the
box and kill X, but the console was still locked up. At least with the
ssh session I could 'properly' reboot.
I've reverted back to 2.4.24 (in my lilo, so convenient).
I've also started using Xinerama extension of X.
