Slightly OT but can anyone explain how gimp manages to print when
nothing else will?
I tried to set up an epson c64 recently while in italy. I had to update
to the latest foomatic-gimp-print to get the c64 as an option in
cups/kde print manager, but even then it would only print out
postscript data arrays. Of course LPR/LPRng and the other options were
no better. But the gimp (that was still 1.2) happily printed. The only
way to work was to print to ps, import into gimp and print from there.
wierd.
