My system display UTC time....how to correct?

Hi,

I have a problem with the time on my computer.
It displays the UTC time, but I have setup the right time zone.

The file "localtime", in /etc is a link to the correct time zone:

localtime -> /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Rome

If I verify the time with the command:

/sbin/hwclock

Fri Apr 16 22:03:04 2004  -1.029400 seconds

I get the right time.

If I get the time with the command:

"date" I get the UTC time:

Fri Apr 16 20:09:49 UTC 2004

What is the mistake?
Where I'm wrong?

Thanks
Lorenzo
