Re: chkrootkit gives this message, should I be worried?

Apparently, _Micha Feigin_, on 04/15/04 17:43,typed:

How do I check what package this file belongs to?

dpkg -S /usr/lib/plt/collects/readline/.DS_Store

Will give you the package that installed this files assuming that it
came as part of a package and wasn't dynamically created by the install
process. IIRC dynamically created files even if they were created by
the install script aren't listed in the databases.

Thanks for the help. The package that uses this file is mzscheme:
> dpkg -l mzscheme
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
||/ Name       Version    Description
+++-==============-==============-========================================
ii mzscheme 206p1-1 Rice University PLT Scheme Interpreter

WHen I tried finding this package on Debian site, I tried to see its file listings. In the listing, this file is nowhere to be found:
http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/search_contents.pl?searchmode=filelist&word=mzscheme&version=testing&arch=i386

I do not recall installing this package. Maybe it was installed by default right from the beginning or it goes installed later. How do I know when this was installed? And finally, given this new info about the relationship of file to mzscheme, should I be worried?

Thanks a ton,
->HS
