mmm ... this actually does not answer your question
but...
I think that would be a good idea to recompile the
whole kernel to customise it to your hardware, and in
the same time compile and install those modules that
you require.
It may take you a bit of time but I think it is
worthwhile; you system will go faster, use less memory
for unwanted kernel code.
