And even people not involved with Debian make Debian packages that'll
work with Debian.  And even other distros that use Debian packages
have packages that work with Debian.  RPM can't claim this, and it's
supposed to be some sort of "standard."  Riiiiight.  That's about as
standard as the exact position of every car on a Californian freeway
at any given moment (for those who haven't experienced it firsthand,
licensing, pavement markings and other traffic control devices mean
nothing there, it's like navigating carnival bumper cars, but the
stakes are higher).

Not that I have experienced.  And so far you're the only person making
that claim that I've seen.
