ok thanks i actualy used apt-get before and installed kde and gnome and they are definetly installed...now that i think about it i may not have selected x server. ill try what kent said altho i did these commands before x -configure (it said "x" was unknown term or whatever) and i was able to do xfree86config but yea ill keep tryin debian is fun tehee ---- Message posted via www.linuxforums.org .
