Video great, Audio dead!

Dear friends:

I'd appreciate your help. I've just reinstalled my system and with it Mplayer. 
Mplayer works fine, both video and audio. The maplayerplugin (latest version: 
2.45) is listed properly under Mozilla, About Plugins. However, mplayerplugin 
plays only the VIDEO of the QuickTime movie trailers, NOT THE AUDIO. On the 
other hand, it plays both the video and audio fine at CBSNews and the IBM 
Linux .ASF format commercials (again, both video and audio) . So, I can't 
figure out what the problem is. Could you please try the QuickTime movie 
trailers and see if the audio is working. The video is just great. No skips, 
etc. I do not recall having ANY audio problems in my previous installations.
