I messed up apt-get -- help!

I've managed to badly screw up apt-get by going from KDE 2.2 in woody to a KDE 3.2 woody backport.
Shame on me, but now I've uninstalled the 3.2 backport and reset my sources.list
to have the following (uncommented) lines:
deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ stable main
deb-src http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ stable main
deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main
Trouble is, I can't now install the regular woody version of KDE.
After an apt-get update, I get:
mycomp:~# apt-get install kde

I've tried lots of things, including aptitude, -f, etc.
I've tried apt-get install kdelibs3, but that gives me:

And trying apt-get install xbase-clients gives similar problems
(with libxaw7, xlibmesa3 and xlibs).
I'm not really sure how I got into this rut, but I'd welcome with open arms any
suggestions on how to get out.
