Hi,
I've been trying to get Mason running again after updating Apache to
2.0, but after installing the Apache::Request module for Apache
2, the module needed for Mason with mod_perl 2 failed to compile:
$ perl Makefile.PL
-----------------------------------------------------------
MasonX::Apache2Handler is an EXPERIMENTAL BETA RELEASE!
Please install and use it only on a test system.
Aloha => Beau;

Checking if your kit is complete...
Looks good
Warning: prerequisite Apache::Cookie 2.02-dev not found.
Warning: prerequisite Apache::Request 2.02-dev not found.
Warning: prerequisite HTML::Mason 1.25 not found.
Warning: prerequisite mod_perl 1.991 not found.
I had a look around and realized that the libapache2-request-perl
package installs its files in a way that makes the module be loadable as
Apache2::Apache::Request (only halfway, it still doesn't find the
libapreq2 library), which looks like a bug for two reasons:
- the package would have to be be called libapache2-apache-request-perl
if the location was correct (beating Debian by its own rules is always
nice) and
- the manpages installed by the package are for Apache::Request and
Apache::Cookie.
So either me or Debian is doing something wrong. Any ideas?
