Ramesh,
I am using ATA RAID channels as plain old IDE channels with no problems. I
have not set up RAID arrays in the RAID controller's BIOS. Everything
works normally. The HPT372 is recognized, and the channels are enabled
as normal IDE channels.
My setup:
ABIT KG7-RAID mobo (Highpoint HPT372 RAID)
IDE0 (standard) 2 disks
IDE1 (standard) ATAPI CDROM and ATAPI 250MB Zip
IDE2 (HPT372) 2 disks
IDE3 (HPT372) 2 disks
