With the Content-Length header, this is useless. Normally, the body
shouldn't be changed (in particular when there are attachments,
corrupting them is a very bad behavior).

There is no problem with the Content-Length header unless you use
broken software. If the value is incorrect (which isn't really
important before the message is stored to the mbox mailbox), the
MDA can still fix it.
