login - Caps
Hi All,
I am trying to log a bug report, but I am unsure of which package, and
whether it has been logged or not.
Sorry I am new to this.
Anyway, the bug I have found is:
When logging (On the first login attempt only) on a ttyX terminal
(physically at the machine), if you place the login name in capitals,
either by holding shift, or having the caps lock on, everything on stdout
is capitals:
login: SCOTT
PASSWORD:
LAST LOGIN:......
Even though everything is displayed in capitals, it still knows the
difference in using upper case and lowercase commands:
'ls' - displayed as 'LS' - works
'LS' - displayed as 'LS' - does not work
I have tested it with telnet and ssh, but they both behave normally.
Can anyone provide me with some tips?
Please email me as well as I am not on the list.
Regards,
Scott
