Depending on your FTP server, there's probably a way to configure what
interfaces it listens on and what users are allowed to log into it.  You
should probably also block remote FTP at the firewall.  If you're using
2.4 kernel, you can also use the iptables 'owner' module to allow local
access only to the users that will be doing this FTP-in-emacs thing.
