Problems with kernel: no sound, printer, cdwriter



I posted this in debianhelp.org and didn't get much
help. Hope to do better here.

My audigy card is not seen by the kernel, when I try
to compile hpijs it doesn't work. 
scsi emulation for my cd drives is not working (but is
enabled in kernel)
The problem seems to be with the modules. I am
attaching some info next:

Obvioulsy I need some pointers here. I am running sid,
kernel 2.4.22

I have scsi support in the kernel, however, my cd
drives are seen as atapi.
