Section 2 is the one that applies most, but I suggest reading the whole thing because of the warnings & disclaimers :)

You need to add them to your /etc/fstab

fdisk/cfdisk help you creating it.
You need to put it in /etc/fstab, too so your system knows about it at boottime.
