You are right. I should have provided more info. I think that the kernel-source-2.4.21 may have some bug. I removed it, and installed *.2.4.20, which worked very good, being able to create the kernel image. I used the same settings, so, there is some problem there in *2.21. Unfortunately, as I said, I didn't keep any records.
If I have time over the weekend I will do it again to post a full report.
By the way, does anyone know if sound blaster (audigy) and ati radeon 128mb ddr are supported in sid?
I have the feeling that there is no much for these two fellows in sarge...
