On the other hand, if I start with mutt -f > =Maildir/.IN.debian (for instance) I can get my mail. Any > suggestions? I have this in my ~/.muttrc set folder=~/Maildir/ mailboxes + +.lists +.lists.debian +.lists.hurd +.lists.icebike +.lists.mlug +.spam set mask="" I press the c key to change mailboxes and then mutt automatically picks the next Maildir with new messages. The set mask="" is necessary or else mutt will hide folders that begin with a '.' which makes it hard to select a maildir after pressing ? (to display a list of mailboxes). P.S. you might want to configure your edit to wrap your lines. That bothers some people. Bijan
