pam_mount on stable

I'm trying to use pam_mount to mount a samba share in Stable, but I'm
not having any luck. Has anyone managed to successfully do this? If so
what version of pam_mount are you using? I'm using 0.5.16 and get the
debug error "error expanding configuration."
